Where to Find Real News These Days
We Have To Find Truth Somewhere and it is Not Coming From Corporate Media
I trust nothing corporate media says about Covid. Nothing. I don't trust them on anything else, either, but Covid is a real eye opener. Almost everything they have pushed over the past two years has been disproved, whether they admit it or not, and they have admitted some of it. Much like the four years of lies about Trump's Russian collusion. It is a crazy situation, when I look at the New York Times or Washington Post or (rarely) turn on CNN, NPR, or MSNBC, I know they are lying to me about almost everything. At best, they are omitting vital information that doesn't support their narrative. At least I know they are lying, unfortunately so many people believe these sources. And, for the record, I don't watch Fox news much, either, although they are better than the others mentioned.
For example, Fox, MSNBC, and CNN often have good and objective reporting about breaking news stories. The best example is mass shootings. Early on, if you tune in, you will get real information about what is happening. Yet, the nature of 24/7 news is that they eventually run out of breaking news. So, they endlessly repeat things. That can be good if you tune in late and are trying to catch up. News stories always get repeated because viewers come in at various times. That is fine.
Eventually, they run out of repeating time. Back in the day, that was fine and the station would go back to normal programming and update the story every once in a while. In the era of news channels, they have to keep the story going. In the case of CNN and MSNBC, they shift into an anti-gun narrative that has nothing to do with the mass shooting story. It becomes non-stop anti-gun propaganda. With Fox News, they go into a pro-second amendment stance. In both cases, it is horrible and not watchable. And, to be totally transparent, I am pro-second amendment, but I want to watch news about that specific event, not hear political bullshit. Especially since the second amendment has almost nothing to do with any mass shooting. But, I digress.
I have looked long and hard for any sources of real news and, I have to say, it ain't easy. When I do quote a source that is considered “right-wing,” all the usual suspects jump all over me to say how biased and wrong those horrible sources are. All the while defending the Jeff Bezos' Washington Post or the New York Times as the most objective sources ever created. All I can do is shake my head and, in my best Southern voice, say “Bless Their Hearts.” Look up what your Southern grandmother meant when she said “bless your heart” if you don't know what it means.
I can't know every site or source that is worth my time. I know for sure that the Washington Post and New York Times are not on my list (nor am paying them so I can see fake stories). We all know that Big Tech is also controlling what we see online. If you use Google or Bing as your search engine, you are having your search results filtered. I will do an article about this in the future (TMDR: use DuckDuckGo.com, not Google or Bing). Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube all are filtered and censored (and all monopolies).
So, where am I looking for my news these days? Here is a very short list because I simply can't know all the people and sites that are actually worth reading/listening to. Here are my recommendations and I hope this helps some sites get a little more noticed.
I never thought I would cite Joe Rogan as one of my main news sources, especially when it comes to Covid. I have been a fan a long time, he is very good at what he does and there is a reason his episodes get 11 million views while CNN Primetime gets 820,000. You learn a lot on all kinds of topics, including current events in depth, unlike typical news story bites. As far as Covid goes, the following two episodes are absolute must sees for anyone wanting truth about Covid.
Joe Rogan Podcast #1757 with Dr Robert Malone.
Dr. Robert Malone is one of the inventors of the nine original mRNA vaccine patents, which were originally filed in 1989 (including both the idea of mRNA vaccines and the original proof of principle experiments) and RNA transfection. This guy is an expert and knows what he it talking about.
Joe Rogan Podcast #1747 with Dr Peter A. McCullough
Dr. Peter A. McCullough, MD, MPH, is a board-certified cardiologist who has testified before committees of the US and Texas Senate regarding the treatment of COVID-19 and management of the ongoing pandemic. Another guy that knows what he is talking about.
Both Dr Malone and Dr McCullough have been besmirched and trashed by the establishment media and government authorities, banned on social media, and otherwise marginalized for disagreeing on the establishment Covid narrative as espoused by Dr Fauci and the Big Pharma companies.
Joe Rogan Podcast #1582 with Alex Berenson
Alex Berenson is a journalist and award-winning author of both fiction and non-fiction. His newest work is "Unreported Truths about COVID-19 and Lockdowns: Part 1: Introduction and Death Counts and Estimates."
Plus, almost all of Rogan's podcasts are good and entertaining no matter their topics. He even makes MMA interesting, something I never thought would be possible for me.
Dr Malone has a Substack, too. I am subscribed and it is first rate. I think people like him would be assassinated by the government if they could get away with it: https://substack.com/profile/49176289-robert-w-malone-md-ms
So does Alex Berenson, another Covid truth teller who has been banned everywhere and I am also subscribed to his. It is called Unreported Truths: Check out his article, Boosters are Over. One negative thing is that Berenson just went after Dr. Malone's qualifications on a Fox News show where both were being interviewed. There was absolutely no reason for what Alex did and what he said was inaccurate. Malone called him out on it successfully. I have no idea what Berenson's motives were for doing such a stupid thing. I wrote a Substack about this, but I still recommend him for good journalism overall on this topic.
Here are a two other Substacks I also recommend. Note I would be a paid subscriber to all of the Substacks I read, but I am a boomer bastard on a pretty low fixed income. I can't wait until the day I may get some paid subscribers, but first thing I need is readers. If you like my stuff, please share.
I am a paid subscriber to both of these Substacks. Both these guys are journalists who actually report on the basis of what is true versus the corporate media narrative that usually has no resemblance to truth:
Greenwald is a liberal who criticizes the left, so they now hate him. He worked with Edward Snowden and Julian Assange to break some incredible stories and supports them both, even though liberals loved Assange until he published emails about Hillary Clinton. He is now public enemy number one.
Another liberal journalist who dares to criticize the left's censorship and bullshit. Kind of like me. He recently did some in-depth investigative reporting on the Loudoun County school board issues and Virginia's governor's election. None of the truth on these stories were reported in the corporate media, Matt gives us the actual truth.
I can identify with both Greenwald and Taibbi because they are true liberals who are dismayed by what the left is doing in the US these days, particularly the censorship that the left has embraced, as well as the idiotic wokeness and authoritarian and totalitarianism the left always seems to embrace. The left and right have so much in common, it can be quite a revelation when one realizes this.
What about news web sites? This one is really hard. There is no “news” site that doesn't have an ideological bias. So, you have to take any of them with a huge grain of salt and read them all critically. What I do know is that the Washington Post and New York Times are total establishment tools and not worth ever reading, even with slat blocks, let alone grains. Same with CNN, NPR and MSNBC and sites like Huff Post, Rolling Stone, and The Atlantic. Fox News is better, at least there you can get some truth. But, it isn't the answer, either. Opinion disguised as news is never a good thing.
What I have found is that the best news comes from the right-wing sites condemned by corporate media. Indeed, being condemned by the establishment war pushers (see the recent hysteria over Ukraine by corporate war monger media for reference) is a plus for me because it means they may actually be getting some truth out.
I read The Durden Dispatch every day. Yes, I read critically as I do with anything, and think about their stories, but they are putting out a lot of truth that the corporate media are never going to mention. This is the only so-called news site I read every day: https://www.zerohedge.com/ They are libertarian and considered far-right, therefore horrible. Some really good stories, though, that you will never see anywhere else and are actually true and credible. I often check out what I read on other sources to make sure articles are real news. Despite the censorship filters all over the Internet, you can still do these types of fact checks on your own (because most “official” fact checkers are lying to you, as well). Another site worth looking at is Townhall. I have to admit even Breitbart has a lot of good stuff and is better than corporate media..
Even though YouTube is a censorship machine, there are still a few sites there that report things the establishment doesn't like that are still there. These folks are getting demonetized (on both the right and left) and things are difficult, but YouTube as a monopoly will do what they want. This is one reason I have never tried to start a YouTube show. Way to hard today to monetize, especially if you don't toe the liberal establishment line.
Lots of good stuff on Spotify, too, but just not enough time in the day to both find and listen to them all. One I love, in addition to Joe Rogan, is Breaking Points with Krystal and Saager at
These guys are still on YouTube, too. At least for now.
There are many more out there, I just wish I could find them. Please comment on your favorites. The curse of the Internet is how Big Tech is working with the government and establishment Democrats to shut down and hide anything they do not agree with to prop up the legacy media that would otherwise die.
Such is the reality of life in 2022 in the land of free speech.

Thanks! I like Children's Health Defense - reporting more broadly than the name implies. And they have a TV site too.
